What we collect, what we deliberately don't, and how long any of it sticks around.
Kemnir is operated by Kemit Security LLC, a limited liability company registered in Wyoming, USA. Where data protection law uses the term, we are the controller of the personal data described here.

If you submit the form, we store the email address you typed, the page you submitted it from, and the time you submitted it. That's the whole record. We don't ask for a name, and there's no profile behind it.
We use it for one thing: telling you when Kemnir is ready to try, plus the occasional note if something material changes — pricing, timing, or the project being abandoned. Every email we send includes a way to remove yourself, and you can ask us to delete you at any time by writing to privacy@kemnir.com.
The list is stored on our own infrastructure. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with anyone for their own marketing.
We use a self-hosted, privacy-focused analytics tool that records page views in aggregate: which page was viewed, the referring site, and coarse device and country information. It does not use cookies, does not follow you across other websites, and does not build a profile of you.
This website sets no cookies. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to. If that ever changes, the banner will appear along with an updated version of this page.
Our hosting provider processes requests to serve the site and to block abuse, which necessarily involves your IP address in transit. We don't maintain our own separate analytics log of visitors on top of that.
Kemnir is a relay. To operate one and to answer abuse complaints, we will record connection metadata:
We do not inspect or store the contents of your traffic. The relay validates that the first packet of a connection is a legitimate protocol handshake and then moves bytes; it has no reason to look further and we have no interest in the game your friends are playing or the files on your NAS.
Account identity — your email address and the fact you have an account — is handled by KemitCustomerAuth, the shared Kemit account system, and billing by KemitBilling. Kemnir stores no passwords and holds no card details.
We would rather hold a short log than a long one. A tunnel service that won't tell you what it keeps isn't worth using, and one that keeps everything forever is a liability to its own customers.
We use a small number of providers to run the service. They process data on our instructions and for no purpose of their own:
We may disclose information where we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to investigate abuse of the service. We will not hand over more than is asked for, and we don't have contents to hand over in the first place.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, object to how we use it, or receive a copy of it. Residents of the EU/UK, California, and a growing number of other places have these rights by statute; we extend them to everyone regardless.
Write to privacy@kemnir.com and we'll act on it. Given the amount of data involved today — an email address and a timestamp — this is usually a very short conversation.
Kemnir is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has submitted an email address to us, tell us and we'll remove it.
When this policy changes we'll update the date at the top. If a change materially affects people already on the waitlist — particularly anything that widens what we collect — we'll email the list rather than quietly editing the page.
